Ford unveiled the all-new 2020 Ford Escape last month and now we’ve learned how much the revamped Escape will cost when it arrives later this year.
CarsDirect managed to get the order guides for the 2020 Escape, which reveals that the pricing will start at $25,980, including the destination fees. That’s a $780 increase over the pricing for the 2019 model. The gas-powered 2020 Escape will be offered in S, SE, SEL and Titanium trim levels. The S, SE and SEL come standard with a 1.5L EcoBoost that generates 180 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque, while the SEL and Titanium models are available with a more powerful 2.0L EcoBoost four-cylinder with 250 hp and 275 lb-ft.
If you want a greener option, the Escape Hybrid is powered by a 2.5L powertrain that generates a combined 198 hp and it’s available in the SE Sport and Titanium models.
With a starting price at $25,980, the 2020 Escape is cheaper than the Toyota RAV4 LE, but slightly pricier than the Honda CR-V LX. The most expensive version will be the Escape Titanium with the 2.0L engine, which is priced at $37,780, while the Titanium Hybrid is slightly cheaper at $35,995. We don’t have the pricing yet for the Escape Plug-in Hybrid, but it isn’t slated to arrive until next spring.
