The 2019 Kia Stinger is easily one of the most fun vehicles in Kia’s lineup and now it’s also one of the safest, since the IIHS has given it its highest safety rating, Top Safety Pick Plus.

2019 Kia Stinger

The 2019 Stinger received a good rating in all six IIHS crashworthiness tests, including the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests. To receive the highest rating, a vehicle must receive a good rating in all six crash tests and an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention and a good headlight rating.

The Stinger’s available crash prevention system received a superior rating and its available LED projector headlights received a good rating. The Stinger’s other available headlights were rated as highly, since the available curve-adaptive LED projectors were rated as acceptable and the base halogen headlights were rated as poor.
