BMW has yet to reveal the 2020 BMW X4 M, but here’s your first look at the high performance version of the latest X4. This photo from Auto Cosmos shows an X4 M sitting uncovered at BMW’s Spartanburg plant in South Carolina.

This single leaked photo of the 2020 BMW X4 shows off its rear end, which gets beefier fenders, a more aggressive bumper and quad tailpipes. The traditional “M” logo is placed next to the X4 badge. The X4 M gets side mirrors that are similar to the X5 M and X6 M models and we can see that it will ride on sportier wheels.

The 2020 BMW X4 M is expected to arrive in early 2019 and will be powered by a turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder engine that will reportedly generate around 454 horsepower. The same engine will also be used by the upcoming X3 M. The six-cylinder will be mated to a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and a more performance focused version of BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system.

Stay tuned.
