The 2020 BMW X1 is getting a facelift, which brings its styling closer to the larger X5 and X7 models, while its interior gets some enhancements.
At the front the 2020 X1’s face has been updated with new optional LED headlights and LED fog lights. The updated front fascia also gets a larger kidney grille and a redesigned front bumper with larger openings and integrated fog lights. At the rear the LED taillights have been updated with L-shaped light bars, a new rear bumper and larger tailpipes. Lastly there are new 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels.
If you opt for the M Sport Package it features adds a more aggressive aerodynamics package including a new front bumper, side skirts, wheel arch trim, and rear diffuser.
Inside buyers can choose either a standard 6.5 inch display screen with iDrive 6, Navigation and Apple CarPlay compatibility or a new 8.8 inch screen with a navigation system. The rest of the interior upgrades include a new gear selector and contrast stitching.
The 2020 BMW X1 is powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque that’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The eight-speed automatic has revised gear ratios. The all-wheel drive X1 xDrive28i can reach 60 mph in 6.3 seconds, while the rear-wheel drive X1 sDrive28i takes 6.6 seconds.
