Audi’s SUV lineup continues to expand and now it’s unveiled its latest model, the 2020 Q3 Sportback. As its name suggests, the Audi Q3 Sportback is a sportier alternative to the standard Q3 with a fastback roof that gives it a sleeker profile.

The 2020 Audi Q3 Sportback is based heavily on the standard Q3, which means that it’s based on the same MQB platform. Under the hood there’s a range of four-cylinder engine options with either front- or all-wheel drive. The most powerful engine is a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder with 226 horsepower, while there are two diesel engine options. A 1.5L engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system will also eventually be added to the lineup.

Buyers will also be able to choose between a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmissions.

Even with the sleeker roofline there’s still plenty of room inside and up to 50 cubic feet of storage space with the rear seats folded. The interior is also packed with tech features, like a 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen display. Amazon Alexa connectivity is also available.

The 2020 Audi Q3 Sportback will go on sale in Europe in November, but it’s probably not coming to the US. A few months ago, Audi stated that the Q3 Sportback would not be offered here, which would seems like a miss, since it would compete with the BMW X2.
