Volkswagen has released the first teaser of the 2019 VW T-Cross, which is a new smaller crossover that will slot in below the new T-Roc in VW’s crossover lineup. The T-Cross gets its name from the concept version that previewed it at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
The 2019 VW T-Cross will be based on VW’s MQB platform and even with its 161-inch small footprint, VW says that it will have an “innovative spacious passenger compartment.” For example the rear seat can be moved forward or back to provide either more legroom or cargo capacity depending on the immediate need.
VW also says that the T-Cross will be one of the safest vehicles in its class. It will also come standard with driver assistance systems, like Front Assist and Lane Assist. VW hasn’t previewed the interior of the T-Cross yet or even provided any hints of what will power it.
The 2019 VW T-Cross will debut this fall.
