Mitsubishi is giving the 2019 Outlander Plug-in Hybrid a long list of upgrades, which will be revealed next month at the Geneva Motor Show. The 2019 Outlander Plug-in Hybrid gets some subtle styling upgrades, but the more significant updates are what’s now under the hood.

The 2019 Outlander Plug-in Hybrid is now powered by a 2.4 Atkinson cycle engine that replaces the previous Otto cycle 2.0 liter. The plug-in hybrid system’s battery capacity has increased 15 percent, while its battery output has increased by 10 percent. The rear motor also has 10 percent more power and the generator’s output has increased by 10 percent.

The 4WD system also gets two additional drive modes: Sport and Snow.

On the outside the 2019 Outlander Plug-in Hybrid gets new LED headlights, restyled fog lights and a new grille. New 18 inch alloy wheels and a larger rear spoiler complete the updates. Inside there are new leather seats, revised gauges, a new instrument panel and rear A/C outlets.
