It’s a new day and another new model has leaked ahead of its debut. Yesterday we saw the first leaked photo of the 2019 Porsche 911 and now we have an early look at the upcoming Ferrari 488 Pista. The more hardcore Ferrari 488 Pista has leaked online thanks to Autocar Japan. What exactly does Pista mean? Well its Italian for “track” which hints at the ability of the Ferrari 488 Pista.
According to Autocar Japan, the 488 Pista is powered by a 3.9-liter V8 engine with 711 horsepower, which is a nice jump over the 488 GTB, which generates 661 horsepower. The V8 also gets a slight torque boost as well with a total 568 lb-ft., up 7 lb-ft. The 488 Pista also loses a few pounds comapred to the 488 GTB at 2,821 pounds vs. 3,020 lbs.
What does this all translate to? The 488 Pista reaches 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds, two tenths of a second faster with a top speed of 211 mph.
The 488 Pista is expected to debut later today.
