Earlier this month Mercedes-Benz took the wraps off the all-new 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class at the Detroit Auto Show. The iconic SUV has finally received its first ever complete makeover since its introduction. If you’re wondering when the AMG versions of the new G-Class will debut, they are reportedly not far away, with an introduction expected as early as March.

The G-Class has been offered in the past in AMG G63 and G65 versions and its expected that the new versions could debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March. “The AMGs are not going to be far away,” stated Ian James, marketing manager for the G class. “In the more recent history of the G class, the AMG vehicles have been wildly popular, and it fits the image, the craziness, if you like, of the G.”

It’s expected that the 2019 G63 will debut in Geneva. In the US, the AMG models have made up the majority of the G-Class sales, so obviously Mercedes-Benz isn’t going to delay them.
