The 2019 Mazda6 is scheduled to arrive in showrooms this month and now Mazda has announced all the updates.
There aren’t any styling updates to the 2019 Mazda6, but it does now come standard with the i-Activsense suite of safety features, which includes Advanced Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning with Lane-Keep Assist, Smart Brake Support and Radar Cruise Control with stop and go function.
The 2019 Mazda6 also now comes standard with G-Vectoring Control Plus, in addition to automatic on/off headlights, High Beam Control, rain sensing windshield wipers, LED headlights, LED taillights, 17-inch alloy wheels and dual exhaust tailpipes. Inside, there’s an 8-inch infotainment system, six-speaker audio system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, remote keyless entry and an electronic parking brake.
The Mazda6 comes standard with a 2.5L with 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, which is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Sadly a six-speed manual is no longer optional.
The Mazda6 Touring adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, leatherette-trimmed seats, heated front seats, a six-way power driver’s seat with manual lumbar support, a moonroof, 19-inch alloy wheels and two rear seat USB charging ports.
Step up to the Mazda6 Grand Touring and you get the 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with a 310 lb-ft. of torque and up to 250 horsepower with 93 octane gasoline or 227 horsepower with 87 octane gasoline. It also comes standard with larger front ventilated brake discs, a BOSE 11-speaker premium audio system, SiriusXM satellite radio, auto-dimming interior mirror and driver-side mirror, heated side mirrors and paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel.
The Mazda6 Grand Touring Reserve comes adds a head up display with Traffic Sign Recognition, adaptive headlights, leather seats, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, automatic power folding side mirrors, eight-way power and memory driver’s seat with power lumbar support and six-way power passenger’s seat, 19-inch alloy wheels, unique LED headlights and a rear lip spoiler.
At the top of the lineup, there’s the Mazda6 Signature, which comes standard with Nappa leather, Japanese Sen wood and gilded UltraSuede interior accents, a 360º View Monitor with front and rear parking sensors, seven-inch digital gauge display, Mazda navigation system, a frameless rearview mirror and LED ambient lights and unique stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel complete the heightened look and feel.
The 2019 Mazda6 Sport starts at $24,720, while the Mazda6 Signature starts at $36,020, including the destination fees.
