Hyundai is giving the 2019 Hyundai Ioniq a few updates. With the biggest additions being the Driver Attention Alert and High Beam Assist safety features and a new remote charge management system.

Some other small changes include enhanced voice recognition and now the SEL trim level comes with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Smart Cruise Control. The good news is that buyers can continue to choose hybrid, plug-in hybrid or fully electric versions of the 2019 Ioniq.

Starting with the Ioniq Hybrid, it’s powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and a 32 kW electric motor that generate a combined 139 horsepower. The 2019 Ioniq Hybrid Blue has a 58 MPG combined rating. Step up to the Ioniq Plug-in hybrid and you’ll get a 104-hp 1.6L four-cylinder and 60-hp electric motor. The Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid has an all-electric range of 29 miles and is rated at 119 MPGe in EV mode and 52 MPG in hybrid mode. The Ioniq Electric has a 118-hp electric motor with 218 lb-ft. of torque and it can travel up to 124 miles on a single charge.

The 2019 Hyundai Ioniq models will arrive this summer.
