Honda has unveiled the updated 2019 Honda HR-V for Europe, which just like the US-spec 2019 HR-V, the small crossover gets updated styling and some interior enhancements. But the bigger difference between the two is that Europe gets a choice of either a turbocharged four-cylinder or a diesel engine, while the US-spec 2019 HR-V makes due with an old naturally aspirated engine.
The 2019 Honda HR-V will go on sale in Europe in October with a restyled front fascia with a restyled grille, new bumper and updated LED headlights. The rear of the 2019 HR-V has also been updated with new LED taillights and the addition of a dark chrome garnish across the tailgate. Lastly the exterior is finished off with new 17-inch alloy wheels.

Buyers in Europe will be able to choose between three different engine options. The base engine is a naturally aspirated 1.5L four-cylinder with 128 horsepower that accelerates the HR-V from 0-62 mph in 10.7 seconds with the six-speed manual and 11.2 seconds with the optional CVT. In spring 2019, the HR-V will be offered with a turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder and a 1.6L i-DTEC diesel engine.
