Subaru has unveiled the 2018 Subaru BRZ tS – a more track ready version of the BRZ. The BRZ tS has been tweaked by STI, but if you’re hoping for any significant upgrades under the hood, you’ll be disappointed.
The 2018 Subaru BRZ tS will arrive in early 2018
Rather than add a turbocharged boxer engine under the hood of the BRZ, the new tS version gets aerodynamic and suspension upgrades from Subaru Tecnica International (STI). For starters the most immediate addition is the large carbon fiber rear wing that can be manually adjusted. There are also spoilers all around the bottom of the BRZ tS to help improve the coupe’s aerodynamic performance.

The BRZ tS rides on unique, lightweight 18-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires and Brembo brakes help keep everything under control. The SACHS dampers and coil springs have also been tweaked by STI.
The 2018 Subaru BRZ tS will be positioned above the BRZ with the Performance Package. It will stand out thanks to Cherry Blossom Red and black accents on the outside. Inside the seats are covered in leather and Alcantara. There’s also a unique gauge cluster and the tS logo is stamped on the seats.
The good news is that the BRZ tS will be available in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2018. The bad news is that only 500 will be produced.
