The updates to the 2018 WRX and WRX STI include updated front styling, suspension tweaks, updated 19-inch wheels, better Brembo brakes for WRX STI and available Recaro seats. There’s also a new Performance Package for WRX models that adds a Recaro front driver seat, red-painted brake calipers with upgraded JURID brake pads and deletes the moonroof to reduce weight. Lastly there’s upgraded interior materials and the new EyeSight Driver Assist technology.

The WRX is powered by a 268-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that comes standard with a 6-speed manual, but a CVT is optional. The WRX STI gets a more powerful 305-hp 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which can only be mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
