The both versions of the AMG GT Roadster are powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 with the AMG GT packing 469 horsepower and the AMG GT C Roadster getting a more powerful 550 horsepower version. Both versions send their power to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The AMG GT Roadster will take 3.9 seconds to reach 60 mph with a top speed of 188 mph, while the GT C Roadster is slightly faster at 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 196 mph.
Both roadsters feature a fabric roof that opens and closes in about eleven seconds, at speeds up to 31 mph. The three-layered soft top is available in three colors: black, red and beige.
Although Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the new GT Roadster and GT C Roadster now, US buyers will have to wait until next fall to get one.
