Last week Jeep finally took the covers off the 2018 Jeep Wrangler with the release of three photos of the all-new Wrangler. Jeep didn’t really release any other details with the photos of the 2018 Wrangler, other than confirming that it will debut this month at the LA Auto Show. If you’re wondering how fuel efficient the new Wrangler will be, you’ll be happy to hear that the EPA has just listed the specs for the 2018 Wrangler Unlimited with the 3.6L V6.
According to the EPA, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be rated at 17 mpg in the city, 23 mpg on the highway and 19 mpg combined with the six-speed manual. If you choose the eight-speed automatic you’ll get 18/23/20 mpg. Those ratings are slightly more fuel efficient than the current Wrangler Unlimited, which is rated at 16/21/18 mpg.
Now we have to wait to get the MPG specs for the turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder. Sadly the four-cylinder powered Wrangler isn’t expected until early next year, so we may have to wait a bit to hear the MPG specs.
We’ve also learned that the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will start at $30,445, which is $2,550 more than the 2017 version.
