2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class interior unveiled

Mercedes-Benz isn’t quite ready to reveal the all-new 2017 E-Class, but the automaker has released the first photos of the interior, with the highlight being a pair of horizontal 12.3 inch displays.

Mercedes-Benz isn’t quite ready to reveal the all-new 2017 E-Class, but the automaker has released the first photos of the interior, with the highlight being a pair of horizontal 12.3 inch displays.

The new digital dashboard that’s comprised of the two displays that sit together dominate the interior, since combined they stretch almost two-thirds the width of the cabin. The two screens contain a large a large display with virtual instruments in the direct field of vision of the driver as well as a central display above the center console. Drivers can choose between three different styles for the glass dashboard: “Classic”, “Sport” and “Progressive”.

“With the interior of the new E-Class, we are giving a new interpretation to the concept of contemporary luxury,” says Hartmut Sinkwitz, Head of Interior Design.

Other details are scarce, but the 2017 E-Class is going to officially debut next month at the Detroit Auto Show. Based on the several spy photos that we’ve seen, the E-CLass’s shape won’t differ too much from the C- and S-Class models.
