2017 Ford F-150 gets a New V6 with 470 lb-ft. of torque

The 2017 Ford F-150 is getting a new 3.5L EcoBoost V6 that generates 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, a gain of 10 hp and 50 lb.-ft. from the previous 3.5L EcoBoost engine.

The 2017 Ford F-150 is getting a new 3.5L EcoBoost V6 that generates 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque, a gain of 10 hp and 50 lb.-ft. from the previous 3.5L EcoBoost engine. With 470 lb-ft. of torque, the 3.5L EcoBoost beats all diesel- and gasoline-powered rivals.
The 3.5L EcoBoost in the 2017 F-150 is mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission. According to Ford, the new powertrain will have improved acceleration and performance with better low-end and peak engine performance.
