The new V6 not only packs more power than its predecessor, but its also more fuel efficient and lighter. The 2017 S4 can reach 0-62 mph in 4.7 seconds and it has an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph. The V6 is mated to a new eight-speed tiptronic transmission and quattro permanent all-wheel drive. During regular driving the selflocking center differential sends 60 percent of engine torque to the rear axle and 40 percent to the front. Depending on the operating situation, it can distribute up to 70 percent to the front axle or up to 85 percent to the rear.

The S4’s suspension is designed to help the S4 handle any situation whether on a racetrack or a mountain pass. The standard S sport suspension is 23 millimeters lower than on the A4.Along with the engine, steering, tiptronic and sport differential, CDC dampers (CDC = continuous damping control) are included in the Audi drive select handling system which comes as standard. This enables the driver to adjust the suspension characteristics in several modes.

In terms of styling, the S4 doesn’t stand out too much from the lesser powered A4. At the front, the Singleframe grille and the accentuated horizontal lines underline the width. The bumpers and air inlets are prominently profiled.
