It’s already been reported that the next-gen 2016 Nissan GT-R is going to get a hybrid powertrain, but now it’s being speculated that it could pack up to 800-HP. Yup you read that right, the next GT-R could reach new heights.
7Tune is reporting that the 2016 GT-R will use the same 3.8L twin-turbocharged V6 as the current model, which will develop around 580-hp, while a regenerative hybrid system with KERS-like technology could add an extra 250-hp. With a combined output of 800 horsepower, the 2016 GT-R would reach 0-62 mph in an insanely fast 2.7 seconds.
