Back in April Lexus revealed the updated 2016 Lexus ES, but now Lexus has revealed the details about the U.S. models, which includes the ES 350 and ES 300h. The refreshed 2016 Lexus ES gets styling updates, new driver assist technologies and some upgrades to the interior.

On the outside, the 2016 ES gets a bolder version of Lexus’ spindle grille and standard LED headlights. The restyled front fascia also gets new fog lights that have been repositioned to the corners. The rear of the 2016 ES also gets updated with new L-themed taillights and chrome-tipped rectangular exhaust ports. There are also new 17-inch alloy wheels and four new exterior colors, which use a new self-healing clear coat technology.

Inside there are new finishes, including Linear Dark Mocha wood, Illustrious Piano Black wood and Bamboo with a matte finish. A Flaxen interior is also optional. For audiophiles, the 2016 ES is available with a 835-watt Mark Levinson 15-speaker audio system. A panoramic roof is also available.
On the safety front, the 2016 ES is now available with the Lexus Safety System+ Package that combines Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Intelligent High Beam and High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
The Lexus ES 350 is powered by a 268-hp 3.5L V6 that is mated to an automatic transmission, while the ES 300h combines a 2.5L four-cylinder and an electric motor for a total 200 horsepower. The ES 300h sends the power to the front wheels via a CVT transmission.
