2016 Infiniti Q50 gets new engines including a new 400-hp twin-turbo

Infiniti has revealed the updates to the 2016 Q50 sedan, with the biggest news being the addition of a new 400-hp 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6.

Infiniti has revealed the updates to the 2016 Q50 sedan, with the biggest news being the addition of a new 400-hp 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6.

The 2016 Q50 actually receives three new engines. The base engine is a 208-hp 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that will be available in the base and Premium Q50 2.0t models. The V6 models are powered by a new 3.0L VR-series V6 that replaces the 3.7 VQ-series. The V6 generates either 300 horsepower or 400 horsepower, if you step up to the Q50 Red Sport 400 model. Lastly the Q50 Hybrid is still available with a 3.5-liter gasoline-electric hybrid system with a total 360 horsepower rating.

The 2016 Q50 Red Sport 400 also gets a new Dynamic Digital Suspension, rack-mounted electronic power steering or an updated version of Infiniti’s Direct Adaptive Steering and staggered 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
