Ford has released the specs that we’ve been waiting for – the 2016 Ford Focus RS packs 350 horsepower and 350 lb-ft. of torque under that hood!
The 2016 Ford Focus RS is powered by a turbocharged 2.3L four-cylinder that packs enough oomph to accelerate the hatchback from 0-62 mph in 4.7 seconds on its way to a top speed of 165 mph. The four-cylinder engine shares most of its structure with the engine that powers the Mustang, but it’s been upgraded with a new low-inertia twin-scroll turbocharger with larger compressor, enhanced air intake design, and a large-bore high-performance exhaust.

The Focus RS will also feature four drive models that configure the all-wheel drive system, damper controls, electronic stability control, steering and engine responses, and exhaust sound. Normal, sport or track settings are available, along with a special drift mode to help the driver achieve controlled oversteer drifts at the track.
The 2016 Focus RS is going to go on sale next spring with pricing starting at $36,605.
