The 500X borrows many styling cues from the smaller 500, but has four doors and room for up to five people. The Fiat 500X was designed at Centro Stile in Turin, Italy, where designers leveraged the character and iconic features of the Fiat 500 into a larger package. On the exterior, design elements like double headlamps, a trapezoidal nose, the signature “whiskers and logo” face and the rounded clamshell hood pay homage to the original Cinquecento.

Buyers in the U.S. will be able to choose from two engines when the 500X arrives next year: a 160-hp 1.4L four-cylinder or a 180-hp 2.4L four-cylinder. The 1.4L is mated to a six-speed manual, while the larger 2.4L comes only with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Buyers can also choose front or all-wheel-drive.
