The Camaro Convertible is the only vehicle in its segment that has a fully automatic top that latches automatically, a top that can open or close at speeds up to 30 mph and that can open remotely by pressing a button on the key fob. It also has a hard tonneau cover that deploys automatically when the top is lowered.
Like the Camaro coupe, the convertible benefits from a stiffer, lighter structure that helps reduce total vehicle weight by at least 200 pounds compared to the model it replaces. The Convertible will be powered by the same powertrains as the coupe, which means that it will be available with a new 275-hp 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder, 3.6L V6 and the 455-hp 6.2L V8.
The 2016 Camaro Convertible will arrive in early 2016.
