Cadillac has already revealed that the upcoming CT6 flagship sedan will weigh about the same as the CTS, but Cadillac hasn’t revealed how it pulled off the hat trick. A new report claims that the CT6 will feature an all aluminum body to help keep its curb weight in check.
According to Automobile, the CT6 will ride on GM’s Omega full-size rear-wheel-drive platform and thanks to its aluminum body it will weigh in at around 3,700 – 4,100 pounds, which is similar to the smaller CTS. The same report also claims that the CT6 will be offered with a range of four-six and eight-cylinder engines.

The design of the CT6 will not be a big departure from the rest of the Cadillac lineup, which means that unfortunately it will not be inspired by the sexy Elmiraj concept.
