The all-new 2015 Subaru Legacy is set to debut in two days at the Chicago Auto Show, but the first batch of photos have already leaked online. Unfortunately as we predicted, the 2015 Legacy bares little resemblance to the Legacy Concept that Subaru unveiled late last year.
Instead of giving us a production version of the more exciting Legacy Concept, we now get a sedan that looks pretty generic. We can see a few of the same design themes from the new WRX in the Legacy, but overall, it’s not very exciting. Under the hood we can expect the base Legacy to be powered by a 173-hp 2.5L that can be mated to either a six-speed manual or CVT transmission. It’s rumored that a more powerful 2.5GT is going to return and a hybrid is also a possibility.
Stay tuned for all the info about the 2015 Subaru Legacy in two days. If you’re wondering when we’ll see the next Outback? It’s rumored that it could debut at the New York Auto Show.
