Mercedes-Benz has announced that it’s bringing the 2015 S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe to the New York Auto Show next month. The S63 AMG Coupe follows the debut of the 2015 S-Class Coupe was originally unveiled earlier this month at the Geneva Motor Show.
The 2015 S63 AMG Coupe is powered by a turbocharged 5.5L V8 engine that generates 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed MCT Speedshift transmission and a standard all-wheel-drive system. Even with 4,400 pounds to move, the S63 Coupe will reach 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 186 mph.
Compared to the S-Class Coupe, the S63 Coupe gets a more aggressive front bumper, AMG alloy wheels, quad tailpipes and an air diffuser that’s integrated into the rear bumper. To kick off the launch of the S63 AMG Coupe, Mercedes-Benz is going to offer a limited Edition 1 model. The S63 AMG Coupe “Edition 1” features a Magno Alanite Grey matte finish paint and Swarovski crystals in the LED headlights. The interior gets AMG sport seats that are wrapped in red/ black Nappa leather.
The 2015 S63 AMG Coupe will arrive later this year and we can expect to see the V-12 powered S65 AMG Coupe debut in October at the Paris Motor Show.
