Acura has announced that the production version of the 2015 Acura TLX is going to debut next month at the New York Auto Show. Acura originally previewed the 2015 TLX with a prototype version at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
The arrival of the 2015 TLX now marks the end of the line for both the TL and TSX models, since the TLX will soldier on as Acura’s midsize sedan. The 2015 TLX will be available with either a 2.4L four-cylinder that’s mated to a new 8-speed dual-clutch transmission or a 3.5L V6 that’s mated to a new 9-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard, but the 3.5L V6 can also be mated to Acura’s all-wheel-drive system, which is now 25 percent lighter than before.

As typical for most Acura “prototypes” the 2015 TLX is expected to look almost identical to the prototype that we saw earlier this year.
