As promised Jaguar has officially unveiled the 2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe tonight at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
As promised Jaguar has officially unveiled the 2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe tonight at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. Compared to the convertible, the F-Type Coupe features the same sexy exterior that we love, but it came to the show with a surprise. The 2015 F-Type Coupe will be offered with a range topping F-Type Coupe R version, which packs 550 horsepower, 55 more horsepower than the F-Type V8 S convertible.
With 550 horsepower under the hood, the 2015 F-Type R Coupe will reach 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds and has a top speed of 186 mph. The F-Type R Coupe also features Jaguar’s second-generation Electronic Active Differential that works in parallel with a new Torque Vectoring by braking system to deliver enhanced agility and exploitable handling at the limit. The F-Type Coupe will also be offered with the same 340 and 380 horsepower versions of the 3.0L supercharged V6 as the convertible.
Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar said: “Creating a sports Coupé is the purest of design tasks, and also the most challenging; get it right and aesthetically the result will be as dynamic as the car should be rewarding to drive. In F-TYPE Coupé, I believe we’ve got it right.
“The dramatic debut of the 550-hp F-TYPE R Coupé in Los Angeles this evening – possibly the most dynamic reveal of a car ever – underlines its performance credentials.”
Pricing for the 2015 F-Type Coupe will start at $65,000, $77,000 for F-Type S Coupe and $99,000 for the F-Type R Coupe.
