Yesterday Dodge released the pricing for the restyled 2015 Dodge Challenger and now Ford has followed that up with the power specs for the all-new 2015 Mustang. The 2015 Ford Mustang is offered with a choice of three engines.
The base naturally-aspirated 3.7L V6 generates 300 horsepower. The more exciting engines are the new turbocharged four-cylinder and the 5.0L V8. The 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder uses turbocharging and direct injection technology to give it a total 310 horsepower and 320 lb-ft. of torque. Ford says the 2.3L has the ” best-ever power density from a Ford engine.”

“This EcoBoost engine delivers the healthy output Mustang drivers expect, regardless of the car’s speed,” said Scott Makowski, EcoBoost powertrain engineering manager. “It delivers where a Mustang driver expects it to – with a broad, flat torque curve and great driveability under any conditions.”

If you want even more power, the Mustang GT is powered by a 5.0L V8 with 435 horsepower and 400 lb-ft. of torque. All three engines can be mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2015 Mustang’s weight has been a big question. Ford has finally released the details:

-Mustang V6: 3,526 lbs (manual), 3,530 lbs (automatic)
-Mustang EcoBoost: 3,532 (manual), 3,524 (automatic)
-Mustang GT: 3,705 lbs (manual), 3,729 (automatic)
