Toyota has unveiled the new hybrid version of the all-new Highlander. The all-new third-generation 2014 Highlander Hybrid is powered by a 3.5L V6 that is mated to an electric motor that has a combined output of 280 horsepower and will also get up to 28 mpg.
The 2014 Highlander Hybrid is designed for “environmentally conscious families” and has room for up to seven passengers. Compared to the standard Highlander, the Hybrid version is pretty much identical, with the exception of the “hybrid” badging. Inside the Highlander Hybrid gets a new 4.2-inch color LCD screen provides an array of driver information including an Eco driving indicator and energy monitor to help maximize hybrid efficiency. There’s also 34 percent more cargo space behind the third-row seat.
The 2014 Highlander Hybrid will be available in the Hybrid Limited and new Hybrid Limited Platinum package. The Highlander Hybrid Limited starts at $47,300, while the Hybrid Limited Platinum model starts at $49,790.
