2013 Lexus LX 570 Shows up in Detroit with a Facelift

Lexus has chosen to unveil the revised 2013 Lexus LX 570 SUV in Detroit. The 2013 LX 570 gets a new grille, 20-inch alloy wheels and an upgraded interior.

The face of the LX 570 also gets new LED daytime running lights that complement the new headlights. The taillights have also been updated and both the front and rear bumpers have been revised.

Inside the LX 570 gets a new Easy Access system for the driver’s seat that makes entering and exiting the vehicle easier by automatically retracting the steering wheel and driver’s seat when the ignition is turned off. The front seats also feature improved cooling, and a 120-volt power outlet has been added to the middle row. The instrument panel has been updated and a new color display is applied. The center instrument cluster front side air vents get a new dark chrome finish and a new chrome accent above the glove box completes the changes to the interior.

The LX 570 continues to be powered by a 383 horsepower 5.7L V8 with 403 lb-ft. of torque. The V8 is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The LX 570 gets an updated Crawl Control feature provides optimum throttle and brake modulation when maneuvering over rough, uneven or difficult surfaces. A new Turn Assist feature also helps by tightening the turning circles by adding more brake force to the inside rear wheel and the new Multi-terrain Select also allows you to optimize performance by choosing from five types of terrain.

Just in case you’re wondering, Toyota has also updated the Land Cruiser for the 2013 model year.
