BMW has announced the updates to the second generation BMW Alpina B7 super-high performance luxury sedan. For the 2013 model year, the Alpina B7 gets updates under the hood, a refreshed exterior and more features on the inside. The 2012 BMW Alpina B7 will debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August. Pricing starts at $127,600 (standard B7), $130,600 (standard B7 with xDrive), $131,500 (B7 Long Wheelbase), and $134,500 (B7 LWB with xDrive).
The 2013 B7 now has 540 horsepower (40 more than before) and 22 lb-ft more torque (up to 538 from 516 lb-ft) thanks to the addition of BMW’s Valvetronic throttle-less intake technology and a new 8- speed high performance transmission. Top speed is now 194 mph up from the previous 175 mph and the 0-60 mph time drops into the low-mid-4-second range.
The B7 gets many of the updates that that the 2013 BMW 7 Series has received. This includes updates to the grille, Xenon Adaptive headlights, LED front fog lights, and taillights.
