The next generation 2009 BMW 7-series has been spotted undergoing testing in Germany. The new design will be more of an evolution of the current generation with more of a muscular theme throughout. Although you cannot tell from these photos the new 7-series will adopt many of the same styling themes as the smaller 3-series.
The most noticeable changes are a longer wheelbase and a wider track. There are rumors that there will be a possible hybrid version as well as diesel versions of the new car. The infamous iDrive system is also going to be updated and the car will also use ZF’s new eight-speed automatic transmission.
