Tesla officially delivered the first 30 Tesla Model 3 sedans last Friday and also revealed more details about the new electric car. Even though Tesla has received over 500,000 Model 3 reservations, Tesla has also reportedly received 63,000 Model 3 cancellations in the last year.

Even though at least 63,000 reservations have been canceled, Elon Musk doesn’t see it as an issue. Since the Model 3 debuted last week, Tesla has received 1,800 new reservations each day, so Elon Musk isn’t too worried about the cancellations. With all the reservations, Tesla is already going to have an issue filling all the orders.

“It’s like if you’re a restaurant and you’re serving hamburgers and there’s like an hour-and-a-half wait for hamburgers — do you really want to encourage more people to order more hamburgers?”

At this point if you put in a reservation in for a Model 3, you probably won’t receive it until the end of 2018 at the earliest. Tesla does hope to be at a level that it’s producing 20,000 Model 3 sedans a month by December.
