This month Ford registered the "EcoBeast" name with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, but what does it mean? Automakers have a history of registering names that they will never use, but in this case, the "EcoBeast" name could be applied to the next-generation F-150 Raptor.

Chevy has announced that the 2015 Corvette Z06 Coupe is now rolling off the assembly line at GM's plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The first batch of the 650-horsepower Corvettes are expected to arrive in showrooms this week.

Lexus has announced that introduction of the new Lexus Safety System + package, which is a of active safety technologies designed to help prevent or mitigate collisions across a wide range of vehicle speeds. Lexus says that the package will be introduced starting in 2015 with a goal of rolling it out across all Lexus models in Japan, North America and Europe by the end of 2017.
