VW has officially taken the wraps off a concept version of its upcoming pickup truck that is going to be shown off at the 62nd IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover.
According to VW “The concept vehicle – executed in as a cleverly designed rescue vehicle for marine use – offers a preview of the fourth model series by the commercial vehicle manufacturer.” The concept hints at a new VW pickup that will be offered in Europe late next year. It will be offered with a choice of gasoline and diesel engines. VW’s all-wheel-drive 4MOTION system is also expected.
Production of the new truck will start in fall 2009 in Pacheco, Argentina.
