All three models are built on Volvo’s modular Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), which means that the V90 will also only be available with four-cylinder engines, just like the XC90 and S90. In the U.S. the V90 will be available with a 2.0L turbocharged engine in the T5 model; a supercharged and turbocharged 2.0L in the T6; and a supercharged and turbocharged four-cylinder that’s mated to an electric motor for the T8 model. All three engines will generate between 240 to 410 horsepower.

Inside, the V90’s interior is pretty much the same as the S90, but with extra room behind the rear seats. The new V90 also features Pilot Assist semi-autonomous drive technology, with large animal detection and run-off road mitigation, and connectivity including smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay.
