We’re still eagerly awaiting the arrival of the microbus-inspired VW ID. Buzz, but today Volkswagen has announced that when it does arrive, it will be the brand’s first autonomous vehicle.
VW plans to begin testing prototypes of the autonomous ID. Buzz this year with the plan to introduce it in 2025. VW has also released a rendering of the autonomous ID. Buzz, which looks pretty close to the concept version. We can see some design changes though that might hint at the production version, like its more simplified lower grille.
The production version of the ID. Buzz is slated to be revealed next year. The ID. Buzz will arrive in the US sometime in 2023.
