The Golf R Variant is basically a wagon version of the hot Golf R hatchback. For the first time ever, VW is going to produce a wagon version of the Golf R. The Golf R Variant is powered by the same turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder with 296 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. of torque. The four-cylinder is mated to a six-speed DSG transmission and permanent 4Motion all-wheel-drive.
