The Beetle Dune concept starts with the latest Beetle, but then adds a raised ride height, flared fenders and modified bumpers to make it ready for the unpaved road.
Next week Volkswagen has already confirmed plans to unveil the 2015 Golf R and the Passat BlueMotion, but there is one other model that we’re going to see, the new Beetle Dune concept. The Beetle Dune concept starts with the latest Beetle, but then adds a raised ride height, flared fenders and modified bumpers to make it ready for the unpaved road.
Think of the Beetle Dune concept as a modern day Baja Bug. Will Volkswagen ever make it? Volkswagen says it’s a design study, but this is the second time that we’ve seen a Beetle Dune concept (think back to 2000), so maybe this time it will actually happen.
