VIDEO: 2012 Mini Cooper Coupe Travels the World and Starts at $22,000

Yesterday Mini officially unveiled the 2012 Mini Cooper Coupe. Now we have more information today, including the official pricing and the first video of Mini’s new coupe.

The base 2012 Cooper Coupe starts at $22,000 and is powered by a naturally-aspirated 1.6L four-cylinder engine that puts out 121 horsepower and 118 lb-ft. of torque. It reaches 0-60 mph in 8.3 seconds and has a top speed of 127 mph.

Moving up to the Cooper S Coupe will cost you $25,300, but that model is powered by a more potent turbocharged version of the base Cooper’s 1.6L engine with 181 horsepower and 177 lb-ft. of torque. The torque can be increased up to 192 lb-ft. using the overboost feature. The Cooper S Coupe reaches 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 142 mph.

The top of the line John Cooper Works Coupe starts at $31,900 and is powered by the same 1.6L engine, but horsepower is now at 208 horsepower. It reaches 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds and has a top speed of 149 mph.
