Tesla is struggling to ramp up the Tesla Model 3 production, but if you’re one of the over 400,000 reservation holders and you’re tired of waiting, here’s an option. A used Tesla Model 3 has been listed on Craigslist, which might be exciting, until you see the asking price – $150,000.
That price is four times the base price of the Model 3 and almost three times as much as this seller paid for the Model 3. What do you get for $150,000? This “first used Model 3” has just over 2,000 miles and features the 310 mile long range battery, Panoramic Glass Roof, Premium Interior, Sound System and Aero Wheels.
The seller doesn’t state why he’s trying to sell the Model 3, “Car has been great for the past 2,000 miles and a unique circumstance is forcing me to part with the car.”
While $150,000 is insane, only time will tell if someone actually buys this used Tesla Model 3 for that much.
According to Electrek, the seller is actually a Tesla Monterey employee. Tesla originally stated in the ordering process that Tesla employees aren’t allowed to resell the Model 3 for more than the original price. It will be interesting to see if Tesla enforces its policy here.
The seller admits, “I am not really sure how to price the car but it is in obvious demand.”
