Speculation has been circulating about the return of the Toyota Supra since the automaker trademarked the name in the U.S. two years ago. Now there’s even more proof that the iconic badge is set to make a return, since Toyota recently trademarked the Supra name in Europe.

Speculation has been circulating about the return of the Toyota Supra since the automaker trademarked the name in the U.S. two years ago. Now there’s even more proof that the iconic badge is set to make a return, since Toyota recently trademarked the Supra name in Europe.
BMW and Toyota are currently collaborating on two sports cars, one for BMW and the other for Toyota. The BMW sports car will be a replacement for the current Z4, while the Toyota is expected to be the reincarnated Supra. Of course Toyota hasn’t released any official details, but it is expected that the new Supra will borrow styling cues from the FT-1 concept.

Under the hood, we can expect Toyota to donate its expertise with hybrid powertrains, while the main source of power may come from BMW.
