Truck Trend is reporting that Toyota is going to streamline the Tacoma lineup for the 2015 model year. The Tacoma is currently available in Double Cab, Access Cab and Regular Cab versions, but it’s being reported that the Regular Cab model will disappear starting with the 2015 model year.
The move isn’t surprising since the mid-size truck segment continues to shrink. Nissan has already stopped selling regular cab versions of the Frontier and most of the Tacoma Regular Cab sales are usually to fleets.
