Toyota has just created the “World’s Fastest SUV.” While the Toyota Land Cruiser is known for its off-road prowess, most of us would never expect the SUV to be faster than many of the world’s fastest sports cars.
Toyota has unveiled a unique version of the Land Cruiser, dubbed the Land Speed Cruiser at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. With over 2,000 horsepower and a top speed of 220 mph, the Land Speed Cruiser is an insanely fast beast. Under the hood the Land Speed Cruiser is powered by the same 5.7L V8, but two big turbochargers are responsible for the significant power boost.

“With the Land Speed Cruiser, we are breaking all of the normal conventions of what an SUV should be,” said Steve Appelbaum, Toyota Motor Sales national egagement marketing manager. “This is a vehicle is truly a feat of engineering.”
