There have been so many rumors about a GRMN Supra, but Toyota has not made any announcements about a more powerful Supra. A new report from Best Car claims that Toyota is still mulling a GRMN Supra and that it will likely arrive before 2025.

2023 Toyota GR Supra Review

The GRMN Supra will close out the current fifth-generation and have around 543 horsepower on tap. It will likely borrow the S58 engine from BMW M, which powers the M4 CSL and M3 CS, since those models have the same hp rating.

We’ve been wondering what Toyota has planned for the Supra’s future, since it’s rumored that its platform mate, the BMW Z4, is slated to disappear in 2025. According to Best Car, the next-generation Supra will keep its rear-wheel drive layout, but it will be based on an updated version of the e-TNGA platform and be powered by a fully electric powertrain. We’ll have to wait and see, since that seems like quite a drastic change.
