Toyota has been releasing a few tiny teasers of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma, but none of them really gave us a good look at the new truck. Now Toyota has released the first photo of the rear of the 2024 Tacoma.

We expected the new Tacoma to borrow many styling cues from the Tundra and this photo confirms that where the rear is similar to its larger brother. We can also see the “i-Force Max” badge on the rear of the tailgate, which confirms that it will be offered with a hybrid powertrain for the first time.

In the Tundra, the i-Force Max powertrain mates a 3.5-liter V6 to an electric motor to give it 437 horsepower. We’ll have to wait and see if the Tacoma gets a similar powertrain. It’s also expected that the Tacoma will also be available with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder.

Toyota has not announced when the 2024 Tacoma will debut. Stay tuned. In the meantime check out the leaked patent photos of the new Tacoma.
