Toyota held its annual dealer meeting in Las Vegas earlier this week, in which Toyota’s president and CEO Akio Toyoda announced many of the Toyota’s upcoming plans.

During the meeting Akio Toyoda officially announced the all-new 2012 Toyota Camry that will hit showrooms this fall. He also announced Toyota’s EV and Hybrid plans. The Prius V, which is a larger Prius is still on track for a US launch this fall and the smaller Prius C will be released in early 2012.

On the EV front, the RAV4 EV will be released next year as well as an electric version of the Scion iQ. We’ve already known about the upcoming RAV4 EV and the Prius plug-in hybrid, but this is the first we’re hearing a launch date for the iQ EV.

The Scion iQ EV will go head to head with other EVs like the Nissan Leaf and Mitsubishi i-MIEV. The Scion iQ EV only has a range of 50 miles. Toyota has yet to release any pricing details for the Scion iQ EV, but at least we now know that it will be released within the next year or so.
